Autopsy finds 9 deep wounds on journalist Tuhin’s body

Nine deep injury marks were found on the body of journalist Asaduzzaman Tuhin, according to the autopsy report.

The Forensic Department of Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital in Gazipur submitted the autopsy report to police on Sunday night.

According to the report, the injuries were caused by a sharp weapon.

The wounds were found on his throat, neck, chest, back and arms.

Besides, Shahjalal, arrested in Tuhin murder case, made a confessional statement before a Gazipur court on Monday when all the seven accused were produced before the court after completion of their two-day remand.

Judge of the Gazipur Metropolitan Court-3 Omar Haidar recorded the deposition of Shahjalal.

The court also sent all the accused to jail.

Meanwhile, Dulal Chandra Das, sub-inspector of Bason Police Station and also the investigating officer of the case, said they received important information from the accused during the remand.

Tuhin, 38, a staff reporter of Mymensingh-based Dainik Protidiner Kagoj, was killed in Chandana Intersection of Gazipur city on Thursday night.

A case was filed with Bason Police Station on August 8.

Police arrested seven people in the gruesome murder after examining the CCTV footages.

The accused were Mizan alias Ketu Mizan, his wife Parul Akter alias Gopali, AL-Amin, Md Shahjalal, Md Foysal Hasan, Sumon alias Sabbir and Shahidul.
