An intercity train and a commuter train collided in Lalmonirhat district on Monday afternoon. There was no report of casualties.
Two coaches of the intercity Lalmoni Express overturned near the workshed of Lalmoni Railway Station. The Lalmonirhat Railway Division is working to repair the damaged tracks, and move the overturned coaches. Train movement between Burimari and Lalmonirhat municipality remain suspended.
Lalmonirhat Railway Division Security Official Benzir Ahmed said there was no casualties over the incident. Security officials are supporting the passengers at the commuter train, he said. Locomotive Department’s Sajid Hasan also confirmed that there was no casualty in the accident.
