Later on Thursday morning, BGB members detained them inside Bangladesh. Among them, there are 8 men, 8 women and 8 children. The push-ins are from different areas of Narail and Bagerhat districts of Bangladesh. The BGB said that further action will be taken after the investigation as the identity of one of them is not confirmed.

Panchagarh Sadar Police Station OC Abdullah Hill Zaman said, the push-ins have been handed over to us through the Shingroad border in Sadar upazila. They are being kept in safe shelter and after investigation, legal action including handing them over to their families is being taken.

The identity of one could not be confirmed. 23 people have been handed over to the police.
