A 23-kilometre long tailback has been created on the Dhaka-Tangail highway due to vehicles' rushed.
The tailback was created from Rabna Bypass to Jamuna Bridge from Wednesday night following some accidents and vehicles' rush.
According to the drivers and passengers, traffic on the North Bengal-bound lane from Pakulya to Tangail began to slow down from midnight, but later turns into a sever traffic jam.
Meanwhile, cattle traders are facing troubles as hundreds of trucks and pickups carrying animals are stuck on the road for long periods. Some animals are falling ill due to the excessive heat and traffic jams.
Elenga Highway Police Station OC Mohammad Sharif thinks that rush of vehicles, accidents and vehicle breakdowns led to the tailback.
