Farmer electrocuted in Jhenaidah

A farmer died after being electrocuted at his home in Patila village under Maheshpur upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased farmer was Rajab Ali, 50, son of late Sultan Ali, a resident of the same area.

The incident occurred around 11am when Rajab Ali accidentally came into contact with an electric fan while sitting nearby and got electrocuted.

Later, he was taken to Maheshpur Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Dr. Mahmud Bin Hedayet, health and family planning officer of Maheshpur Upazila Health Complex, said Rajab Ali died before reaching the hospital.

Officer-in-Charge of Maheshpur Police Station Saiful Islam confirmed the incident.
