Police have recovered the body of Samaj Uddin (60) in Islampur, Jamalpur. The body was recovered from the drain in front of the TNT office next to the Upazila Parishad on April 22 morning and sent to the morgue. Samaj Uddin is said to be the son of Tamez Pradhan of Delipara in Patharshi Union.
Samaj Uddin's daughter Maria Akhter Mim said that on the evening of April 21, my sick father came to Islampur Upazila Health Complex to get therapy. The next morning, locals saw his body lying there and informed the police.
Islampur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Saifullah Saif said that the cause of death will be known in the postmortem report.
