A motorcyclist has been killed after being run over by a bus in Jajira, Shariatpur.
The deceased is Md Shakil Mia, 22, of Baburchar are of Kundarchar union.
The accident occurred around 2:30pm today in the Gani Mor area of Jajira when a speeding bus of Shariatpur Super Service, coming from Dhaka, collided with Shakil's motorcycle, leaving him critically injured.
Locals rescued him and took him to the Jajira Upazila Health Complex, where doctors declared him dead.
Jajira Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Dulal Akand said Shakil Mia had set out for Dhaka on a rented motorcycle for business purposes when the accident occurred.
Later, police arrived at the scene and seized the bus.
