Musician and actor Pritom Hasan and model, actor and singer Shahtaj Monira Hashem have decided to end their marriage.
They announced the decision in separate Facebook posts on Sunday night.
In a post, Pritom wrote: “Shahtaj and I have mutually and amicably decided to end our marriage after ten years together.”
“While we are grateful for the memories we shared and still care for each other, we realised over time that we are simply better off going our separate ways due to a lack of mutual understanding. This decision was the result of much thoughtful consideration. With the support of our families, we are moving forward with a divorce,” he wrote.
“We kindly ask our friends, colleagues, and the media for privacy and grace during this transition so we can navigate this next chapter. Thank you for your understanding and support,” he concluded.
Shahtaj shared a similar statement on her Facebook page. She said that after nearly ten years of being together, they had decided to end their marital relationship amicably and with mutual understanding.
