Prime Minister Tarique Rahman left Dhaka for Feni on Thursday morning on a day-long visit to attend a series of programmes.
A motorcade carrying the prime minister left his Gulshan residence at 8:40am by road.
Tarique is scheduled to inaugurate the ‘Mahuri-Kahua Flood Control, Drainage and Irrigation Rehabilitation (Phase-I) Project’ at the Keyaghat-Mahuri Bridge area in Parshuram upazila at 12:30pm.
At 1:30pm, he will inaugurate a tree plantation programme at Begum Khaleda Zia Women’s College in Fulgazi.
At 2pm, the prime minister will inaugurate the supply of electricity to the national grid from the rooftop solar facility installed at the Fulgazi District Council Dak Bungalow.
At 3:30pm, he will attend a ceremony at Fulgazi Government Pilot School ground to distribute Family Cards and Farmers’ Cards and provide honorariums to imams, muezzins and members of other faith communities.
He will offer Zuhr prayers and have lunch at the Fulgazi Dak Bungalow before returning to Dhaka in the evening.
