Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has announced that gas supply to industries and factories will return to previous levels from Wednesday.

He made the remarks during an exchange of views with business leaders and media representatives at his office on Monday, seeking cooperation in implementing the government's “Energy Plan”, according to his Deputy Press Secretary Hasan Shiplu.
"The prime minister urged everyone to ensure the government gets the opportunity to implement its plans during its tenure, without creating instability in the country," Shiplu said.
Tarique said the government was working within a specific timeframe to normalise electricity and energy supplies.
He said implementing the plan would benefit the broader economy as well as trade and commerce.
