Six Bangladesh Police officers were transferred and posted to new positions in the public interest, according to a notification issued by Police Headquarters.
The notification, signed by Raihan Uddin Khan, Additional DIG of Personnel Management-1 at Police Headquarters, was issued on Tuesday.
It said Mithun Sarkar, Additional Superintendent of Police in Satkhira, was transferred as Additional Superintendent of Police (River) in Chandpur.
Additional Superintendent of Police SM Ashiqur Rahman, who was working at Police Staff College, Dhaka, was posted as Additional Superintendent of Police in Bhola Sadar Circle.
AKM Salimul Haque, Assistant Superintendent of Police of Madhabpur Circle in Habiganj, was transferred as Assistant Superintendent of Police in Highway Police.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Tania Islam, who was working in APBN, was posted as Assistant Superintendent of Police in Highway Police.
Nadim Haider Chowdhury, Assistant Superintendent of Police of Mirsarai Circle in Chittagong, was posted as Assistant Commissioner of Police in DMP, Dhaka. His previous transfer order as Assistant Superintendent of Police in Tourist Police was cancelled.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Anik Chowdhury, who was working in Industrial Area Police, was posted as Assistant Superintendent of Police at Police Headquarters.
The notification directed the transferred officers to join their new posts by September 12 after handing over their current responsibilities.
