Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has said that the future Bangladesh will be a democratic and welfare state.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at a program organized at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital on Monday afternoon.
The Prime Minister also inaugurated three villages under the SDG Village Pilot Program for the first time in the country.
The three villages selected under the pilot program are Nafanagar in Bochaganj Upazila of Dinajpur, Pankhali in Dakop Upazila of Khulna, and Mitingachhari in Kaptai Upazila of Rangamati.
The Prime Minister said that for more than a decade and a half, fascist rule destroyed all sectors including education, health, and economy, and now it is time to rebuild the sectors. The current government is working towards that goal.
The Prime Minister also said that it is not possible for any ministry or department to achieve the SDG targets alone; so, the cooperation from all concerned is required in this regard.
