Dildar's 20th death anniversary today

Dildar; A unique name in the history of domestic cinema as a comedian. He is like himself in comparison. It is difficult to find an audience who does not laugh at him on screen. As long as he acts, everyone will be fascinated and watch only him.

Today (July 13) is the 20th death anniversary of this actor, known as the 'King of Laughter' of Dhaka cinema. On this day in 2003, at the age of 58, he left for the country of no return.

At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife Rokeya Begum and two daughters, Masuma Akhter and Jinia Afroz.

Dildar was born on January 13, 1945 in Chandpur. After passing SSC, this actor dropped out of school. Dildar started his acting career in 1972 with the movie 'Ken Aamani Hoi'. After that, he never looked back. He became a beloved actor with his brilliant acting.  

Seeing the immense popularity of Dildar, the movie 'Abdullah' was made with him as the hero. It received a huge response from the audience. In it, Dildar's heroine was Nutan.

In his long career in films, he has given many popular movies including 'Veder Mey Josna', 'Vikshob', 'Antare Antare', 'Kanyadan', 'Chawa Te Pawa', 'Shudhu Tumi', 'Swapner Nayak', 'Ananda Asru', 'Ajante', 'Priyojan', 'Praner Chein Priyo', 'Nachnewali' and many more.

The actor was honored with the National Film Award in 2003 for the movie 'Tumi Shusha Amar'.
