The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has directed all government hospitals to continue providing free NS1 tests for dengue diagnosis until December 31, 2026.
A notification, signed by Deputy Secretary Kazi Sharif Uddin Ahmed, was issued on Sunday (July 5) by the Health Services Division of the ministry.
According to the notification, the government has instructed the relevant authorities to take the necessary measures to ensure that NS1 testing for dengue patients remains free of charge at all government healthcare facilities through December 31, 2026.
The ministry has also circulated the directive to the directors of medical college hospitals, civil surgeons, upazila health and family planning officers, and other concerned officials across the country for information and immediate implementation.
