Prime Minister Tarique Rahman attended the memorial ceremony in honour of those killed during the July mass uprising-2024 held on Saturday.
The event began at 10:00am at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka.
The July 24 Martyrs' Family Society and Amra July Joddha jointly organised the programme to mark the second anniversary of the "36 July" movement.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister is also expected to attend a student rally as the chief guest at the Central Shaheed Minar on 3 August, the final day of a nine-day programme marking the second anniversary of the July mass uprising.
The Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, the student wing of the BNP, announced the programme on Thursday.
