Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Sunday learned about a range of environmentally friendly products developed by Sajjadul Islam, a student and young innovator from Moulvibazar, during a meeting at the Bangladesh Secretariat.
During the meeting, Sajjadul briefed the Prime Minister on his innovations, including the production of biodegradable polythene from rotten and discarded vegetables and the manufacture of corrugated sheets, tiles and boards using fibres extracted from banana plants.
The Prime Minister commended the young innovator for developing environmentally sustainable products using locally sourced raw materials.
Praising the potential of the inventions to contribute to environmental protection and sustainable industrial development, Tarique Rahman expressed the government's interest in supporting such initiatives.
He also assured Sajjadul of state assistance for his innovative work and encouraged him to continue his research and development activities.
The meeting highlighted the government's commitment to promoting innovation, research and environmentally friendly technologies developed by young Bangladeshi entrepreneurs and researchers.
