Prime Minister Tarique Rahman resumed official duties on Monday (1 June), the first working day after the Eid-ul-Azha holidays, by reporting to his office at the Secretariat.
The prime minister entered the Secretariat at around 9:15am and began his official activities for the day.
A series of important meetings, courtesy calls and policy discussions have been scheduled throughout the day, according to the Prime Minister’s Press Wing.
Sources said a courtesy meeting was held at the Cabinet Division building from 9:45am to 10:15am, during which the prime minister met the administrator of the Khulna City Corporation.
Later, discussions with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Cultural Affairs are scheduled from 11:30am to 1:00pm on a range of issues.
Following the lunch break, the prime minister is set to attend a key meeting from 2:00pm to 4:00pm to discuss measures for the development of the country's pharmaceutical industry.
In addition, a courtesy call is scheduled from 5:00pm to 6:00pm, followed by another separate meeting from 6:00pm to 6:30pm.
All of the day's programmes are being held at the Cabinet Division building within the Secretariat, the Press Wing added.
