The Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) is set to receive four buses from the Alhaj Jasim Uddin Foundation under a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions. The initiative is expected to play an effective role in easing the ongoing transportation crisis at CUET.
The MoU signing ceremony was held today, Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the CUET Syndicate Room in the presence of the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of CUET, Prof. Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan.
On behalf of CUET, the MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Humayun Kabir, Registrar (Additional Charge), while the agreement was signed on behalf of the foundation by Alhaj Jasim Uddin, Founder and Chairman of the foundation.
Among others present from CUET were Prof. Dr. Kazi Delowar Hossain, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Abu Kawsar, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rashidul Hasan, Director of Transport Department Syed Masrur Ahmad, and Assistant Director of the Directorate of Student Welfare Md. Masum Rana Pramanik.
Representatives from the foundation included Vice-Chairman Mohammad Zobayer Uddin Tansi, Director Alhaj Moktar Ahmed, former Headmaster of Noapara High School Mohammad Habib Ullah, journalist S. M. Yusuf Uddin, and banker Md. Belal, among others.
Also present at the event were Deputy Director (Public Relations) Mohammad Fazlur Rahman, Deputy Registrar (Law & Estate) S. M. Moktarul Mostofa, Assistant Registrar (Law & Estate) Md. Zobayer Hossain, and Public Relations Officer Aidit Ibne Monju.
