LPG price increases by Tk212

The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at the consumer level has been increased, with the cost of a 12kg cylinder rising by Tk212.

The new price has been set at Tk1,940, up from the previous rate of Tk1,728.

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the price hike in a notice issued on Sunday afternoon. The revised rate came into effect from Sunday evening.

Earlier on 2 April, BERC had last adjusted LPG prices for the current month, fixing the price of a 12kg cylinder at Tk1,728.

With the latest revision, the price of a 12kg LPG cylinder has jumped by Tk212 in a single increase.
