No bar on 18 April head teacher recruitment exam

The Appellate Division on Thursday stayed a High Court order that had earlier suspended the recruitment examination for head teacher and assistant head teacher posts under the Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA).

As a result, there is no bar on holding the exam on 18 April.

Chamber Judge of the Appellate Division Justice Md Rezaul Haque passed the order.

Earlier in the day, a High Court bench comprising Justice Akram Hossain Chowdhury and Justice AFM Saiful Karim had ordered a stay on the recruitment examination.

The state later filed an application seeking a stay on the High Court order, which was subsequently granted by the Chamber Court.

Attorney General Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kazal confirmed the development to the media on Thursday afternoon.
