Elections to the women's reserved seats in the 13th National Parliament will be held on May 12, said the Election Commission (EC) on Monday.
EC senior secretary Akhter Ahmed confirmed the date to media after the commission meeting held at Agargaon Election Bhaban.
He said the election schedule will be formally declared on April 8, including timelines for nomination submission, scrutiny, and withdrawal.
The 50 reserved women's seats are allocated proportionately among political parties based on their performance in the 300 general seats in the February 12 national election.
