Police on Monday recovered the body of a boy from a mustard field in Mymensingh's Muktagachha upazila.
The body was recovered from a mustard field at Norkona village under the upazila.
Police, however, arrested a person in this connection.
The dead M Rifat, 12, son of Mofizul Islam, a resident of Katolshar village in the upazila, was a fifth grader at Shaheed Smrity Government Primary School.
According to locals, Rifat used to drive a rented battery-run auto-rickshaw alongside his studies. He went out with the rickshaw on January 27 and had been missing since then, not returning home.
Arif Hossain, elder brother of Rifat, lodged a General Diary (GD) with Muktagachha Police Station in this connection.
Later, a team of police, on suspicion, arrested Miraz, 17, using information and technology for his alleged involvement in this connection, said Muktagachha Police Station Officer-in-Charge(OC) Kamal Hossain.
Police later recovered the body of Rifat from the mustard field based on the information shared by Miraz.
The body was sent to Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC said, adding that police were trying to arrest the rest of other accused involved in the incident.
