Qatar Emir condoles Khaleda Zia’s death

Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has expressed condolences to Bangladesh over the death of former prime minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.

In a condolence message sent to President Mohammed Shahabuddin, Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani conveyed deep sympathy following the passing of Khaleda Zia, the country’s first woman prime minister, media report said.

The Emir extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of the late leader.

Begum Khaleda Zia, who had long suffered from multiple health complications, was airlifted to London last year for emergency medical treatment after the Qatari Emir arranged a special air ambulance to transport her from Dhaka.
