After “Soldier”, popular actor Shakib Khan has signed a contract for a new film with Sun Music and Motion Pictures Limited. Chief Executive Officer of the production Ajay Kumar Kundu signed the agreement on behalf of the production company with the actor on Monday. Sun Music and Motion Pictures Limited Chairman Anjan Chowdhury was also present.
About the agreement, Shakib Khan said, “In abroad, we see that top entrepreneurs are constantly helping to accelerate an industry by investing in mainstream films. Respected Anjan Chowdhury, who is very fond of the country’s culture, and his company are a blessing for our industry in that regard. I express my deepest thanks and gratitude to him. I hope other organisations will also come forward in the interest of films like them and think about our industry.”
The actor also mentioned that his two-film contract with the company has opened new horizons for the Bangladeshi film industry.
Sun Music and Motion Pictures Limited Chairman of Anjan Chowdhury said, “Shakib Khan is undoubtedly a popular name in Bengali cinema. For more than 26 years, he has been giving his time and dedication to films. For that, I applaud him. I believe our organisation’s journey with him will open new doors for the industry.”
It is learned that Shakib Khan has already started shooting for the company’s first film, titled “Soldier”, directed by Shakib Fahad. The title and details of the second film under the same contract will be officially announced soon.
The production company Sun Music and Motion Pictures Limited is widely known for producing several acclaimed and commercially successful films, including “Monpura”, “Bishwoshundori”, and “Hawa”.
