On Monday, the Commission published the preliminary list of candidates, which showed 19 candidates were dropped in the initial selection.

More than 1,160 students purchased nomination papers for contesting the central student union and hall union elections. About 931 of the aspirant candidates have submitted their nomination papers. As per the initial list, 25 candidates will vie for the vice-president post, 22 for the general secretary post and 22 others for the assistant general secretary post.
