The Chief Advisor of the Interim Government arrived in Rajbari to witness the winter maneuver exercise by the 55 Infantry Brigade Group of the Bangladesh Army.
On Sunday (January 5) at 11:54 in the morning, the chief advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus landed at the helipad at Char Khapura of Military Training Area in Kalukhali Upazila of Rajbari.
This winter maneuver exercise was held under the management of 55 Infantry Division of Bangladesh Army in Charkhapura and Char Ramnagar area of Rajbari Military Training Area (RMTA) of Kalukhali Upazila of Rajbari District.
Muhammad Yunus will be received at the exercise ground by Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman, Navy Chief Admiral M Nazmul Hasan, Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan and GOC, 55 Infantry Division and Area Commander, Jessore Area Major General JM Imdadul Islam.
He then witnessed the maneuver practice for about 1 hour. The Chief Adviser delivered the closing remarks at the end of the exercise. The Chief Adviser along with other Advisers, senior officers of the armed forces and media persons were present on the occasion.
Various types of modern tanks, APCs, Artillery of Bangladesh Army, Infantry, Engineers and Commandos of all Arms and Services and Bangladesh Air Force fighter planes, Army Aviation planes, Helicopters and Para Commandos participated in the maneuver exercise.
It should be noted that the Chief Advisor was supposed to attend the same event last Thursday (January 2). However, due to hostile weather and thick fog, the helicopter could not take off, so it was postponed.
