Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested retired Army officer Major Abdul Hafiz from the capital's Banani area late on Saturday night, October 31.
According to law enforcement sources, specific allegations have been brought against him regarding involvement in anti-state activities, conspiracy related to the BDR carnage, and collusion with individuals implicated in the killings.
Following his arrest, he was brought to the DB office on Minto Road, where he is currently being interrogated by law enforcers.
