The largest religious festival of the Hindu community, Sharadiya Durga Puja, concluded in Bhola amidst festive joy, public enthusiasm, and the melancholic strain of farewell. The formal rituals ended on Wednesday (October 21) night with the immersion of goddess idols.

Speaking to reporters after visiting various puja mandaps in his constituency, Bhola-1, Information and Broadcasting Minister Barrister Andaleeve Rahman Partha stated that adequate and foolproof security had been ensured across the country, allowing the Hindu community to celebrate Durga Puja in an extremely joyful and festive atmosphere without any fear.

"I hope that Muslims and Hindus in our country will continue to live together as brothers, maintaining communal harmony," the minister added. He also extended special thanks to the police and other law enforcement agency members for reinforcing overall security across the puja pandals.
Emotional Reflection on Roots

Recalling memories of his birthplace and roots during the visit, Partha said in an emotional voice, "Whenever I come to my electoral constituency in Bhola, I say—I am the son of Monju Miah. That is my biggest identity, and I feel immense pride in identifying myself as such." He expressed deep gratitude to the people of Bhola across all communities, Hindu and Muslim alike, for electing him as a Member of Parliament.

Work Underway to Amend Cyber Security Act

Responding to a query from journalists regarding legislative reforms, the Information and Broadcasting Minister shared that initiatives are underway to amend restrictive laws, including the Cyber Security Act. Noting that discussions with relevant stakeholders are ongoing, he said, "Efforts are being made in consultation with television channel and newspaper owners to put in place a framework that ensures proper protection for the media, the government, and the general public. I hope something positive will emerge soon."

Pandals Visited Late into the Night

Starting from 9:00 PM on Wednesday, the Information Minister visited several key pandals in Bhola Sadar Upazila until late at night, including Bikash Majumdar's house, Anujkahali Lane, Shatadal Bikash Club near Western Para, Mihir Lal Saha's house, Laxmi Gobinda Temple, Bappa Mahajan's Pole, Bapta Shakti Sangha, Circular Road, and the central Madan Mohan Temple. He exchanged greetings with devotees, interacted with locals, and posed for photographs.

Later, the minister distributed prizes among participants and winners at a special ceremony organized at the central Madan Mohan Temple.

Dignitaries Present

During the visits, the Minister was accompanied by Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhola Sadar Model Police Station Md. Monirul Islam, District BJP Organizational Secretary Md. Nurnabi, President of Bhola Sadar Upazila Puja Celebration Council and Convener of Bangladesh Chhatra Samaj Bhola District Unit Manas Ghosh Shanta, Member Secretary Md.
