Prime Minister Tarique Rahman arrived in Dacope Upazila of Khulna at around 10:30 am on Thursday.
According to the Prime Minister's Office, he will travel by road to a launch terminal and then go by water to BNS Mongla in Bagerhat.
The prime minister is scheduled to reach the BNS Mongla jetty at noon and head to the wardroom. After lunch, he will attend a meeting at the wardroom conference room at 1:45 pm.
In the afternoon, the prime minister is scheduled to inspect the overall operations of Mongla Port and its jetty. At 3:15 pm, he will visit the proposed BEZA Economic Zone area.
After completing his official programmes, Tarique Rahman will leave Mongla by helicopter for Dhaka at 4:00 pm. He is expected to reach Dhaka at 5:00 pm.
The administrations of Khulna and Bagerhat districts, along with local law enforcement agencies, have completed the necessary security and administrative preparations for his visit.
