Sergio Gor, US Special Envoy for South and Central Asia, after meeting with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, said that if Bangladesh and the US work together, both countries can achieve real success.
He said this in a message after meeting the Prime Minister on Saturday. US Special Envoy Sergio Gor called on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at the Prime Minister's Office in Tejgaon in the capital at 9:30 am.
After the meeting, Sergio Gor said, “In the meeting with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, we discussed the existing opportunities to increase economic cooperation and strengthen the partnership between the US and Bangladesh. This is a priority of the United States and if we work together, we can achieve real success.”
Earlier, Sergio Gor arrived in Dhaka on Thursday afternoon.
On the first day of his visit to Dhaka, the US Special Envoy met with Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman in the evening. On Friday, he visited the Rohingya camps in Cox's Bazar.
On the last Saturday morning of the visit, he met with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
