A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Bangladesh Nationalist Party and the Communist Party of China at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing today (June 25).
Humayun Kabir, BNP joint secretary general for international affairs, and Liu Haixing, minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, signed the MoU at 8:45am local time on behalf of their respective parties.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapon, Water Resources Minister Shahiduddin Chowdhury Anee and State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Rashiduzzaman Millat were present at the signing ceremony.
It was the first memorandum of understanding signed between the two parties.
Earlier, Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman arrived in Beijing from Dalian with his wife and entourage after attending the World Economic Forum’s Summer Davos.
