At least two people have died after a truck hit a pickup van in Tangail.
Another two people were injured in the accident.
The accident occurred around 5:15am on Monday in the Rabna Bypass area of the Dhaka-Tangail-Jamuna Bridge Highway, said Elenga Highway Police Outpost chief Md Sharif.
The bodies of the dead have been sent to the Tangail General Hospital morgue and the injured have been admitted to the hospital.
Police could not immediately confirm the names of the victims.
Sharif said, "A truck heading to Jamuna River crashed into a pickup van on the Rabna flyover. Two people were killed on the spot."
The bodies will be handed over to the victims’ families following legal formalities, he said.
