Opposition Leader in Jatiya Sangsad and Bangladesh Jamaat e Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman hosted an Eid reception for diplomats stationed in Dhaka at his official residence on Minto Road on Saturday.
The event, held from 11:00am to 12:30pm, brought together representatives from diplomatic missions of various countries, according to a press release.
Diplomats from the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, China, Turkey, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Italy, India, Canada, Australia, Netherlands, Nepal, Bhutan, Belgium, Singapore, Myanmar, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Iran, Indonesia, Malaysia, Egypt, Palestine, Algeria, Kosovo, Albania, Brunei, Maldives and Sri Lanka attended the gathering.
Representatives from international organizations including UNDP, UNESCO and UNICEF were also present.
Following the exchange of Eid greetings, guests were served traditional Bangladeshi cuisine.
