A Dhaka court on Sunday issued a summons to National Citizen Party (NCP) Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary to appear before the court in a case filed on charges of defamation and criminal intimidation over alleged derogatory remarks about BNP leader Mirza Abbas.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Hasan Shahadat issued the summons after accepting the case filed by Ramna Thana BNP President Ashraful Islam.
Confirming the matter, the plaintiff's lawyer Amirul Islam said the court accepted the case and issued a summons for Patwary to appear before the court by 21 April.
