Ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election, joint forces patrols have been intensified across Singra Upazila of Natore to maintain law and order and ensure a free, fair, and peaceful electoral environment. Regular patrols in every union and village of the upazila have visibly increased public confidence, a sense of security, and overall calm among the people.
Under the capable, firm, and far-sighted leadership of Singra Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and Assistant Returning Officer Abdullah Al Rifat, the Bangladesh Army, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Bangladesh Police, and Ansar forces are jointly conducting these patrols. The UNO is personally present in the field to supervise the entire operation, reflecting his strong sense of responsibility and professionalism.
During the patrols, UNO Abdullah Al Rifat directly interacts with local residents, listens to their concerns, and reassures them about the overall election situation. He encourages everyone to go to polling centers without fear and cast their votes freely, while also calling on all to maintain tolerance and a peaceful attitude. Locals say his humane and sincere approach is reducing the gap between the administration and the people.
Local representatives and members of civil society have stated that administrative activities under UNO Abdullah Al Rifat's leadership have become much more dynamic and effective than before. They describe him as strict yet fair, and compassionate toward the people. As a result, fears of disorder or unpleasant incidents surrounding the election have significantly decreased.
Due to the joint forces patrols, criminal activities have declined in different areas, and ordinary voters are moving around comfortably. A positive mood is visible in markets, shops, and crowded places. Many people say they now feel confident that they will be able to vote peacefully.
Concerned circles believe that the honest, neutral, and courageous leadership of UNO Abdullah Al Rifat has become the main pillar of hope for organizing an acceptable and peaceful election in Singra. His initiatives and active field presence are being seen as an exemplary model for other upazilas to follow.
