BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman on Friday urged the people of Bogura to prove that the district remains a stronghold of the BNP.
“Cast your vote for the ‘Sheaf of Paddy’ to prove that Bogura is our stronghold,” he said.
Tarique made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a large roadside rally held at Mokamtala Bus Stand in Shibganj upazila of Bogura on Friday afternoon.
He said, "Whenever the party has had the opportunity to form government, it has worked for the development of the country and the region. Dear residents of Mokamtala, we want to work for the development of your area once again."
BNP-nominated candidate for Bogura-2 (Shibganj) constituency Mir Shahe Alam also addressed the rally, urging voters to support the party in the upcoming election.
Thousands of party leaders, workers, and common people joined the rally and to catch a glimpse of BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman. The entire Mokamtala area reverberated with slogans.
