The revised budget for the current fiscal year 2025-26 has been set at Tk 7.88 lakh crore.
The original budget stood at 7.90 lakh crore.
The final decision was made at a meeting of the Advisory Council, chaired by Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus, today.
Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam informed reporters about the revised budget.
He also said that the revised budget will take effect from February 1 and the Advisory Council has been informed about it.
The size of the Annual Development Programme has been reduced by Tk 30,000 crore to Tk 2 lakh crore.
The revised budget has a total revenue collection target of Tk 5.88 lakh crore, of which the National Board of Revenue's target is Tk 5.03 lakh crore.
