The long-awaited film “Bandhob”, directed by Sujon Barua, is finally set to hit theaters on October 3, coinciding with the Durga Puja festivities. Despite several previously announced release dates, the producers had postponed the launch due to unfavorable circumstances. This time, however, the production house Anupam Kothachitra has confirmed the release.
Its owner Anup Barua and producer Abul Bashar said, “Several times we finalized a release date but had to step back due to circumstances. Now, we believe the time is right. There’s a shortage of quality films in theaters, so we don’t want to delay any further. After careful consideration, we are releasing Bandhob on October 3.”
Director Sujon Barua expressed relief and optimism, “I was waiting for the day this film would release. Finally, it’s happening, and I feel a deep sense of peace. I believe the audience will love it because Bandhob is a story-driven film.” The plot revolves around the life of a child found abandoned in a garbage bin, growing up without any known identity.
Actress Mou Khan plays the lead role, alongside performances by Gazi Rakayet, Rebeka Rouf, Joy Raj, Sumit Sengupta, Habib Khan, Asma Sheuli, Arfan, Raj Sagor, Rubel and others. The film features five songs, four written by Sudip Kumar Dip and one by Munshi Wadud, with music directed by Sheikh Sadi Khan and M A Rahman.
