Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen paid a courtesy call on Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman in the capital’s Basundhara area on Tuesday morning (16 September).

During the meeting, the ambassador inquired about Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and exchanged pleasantries.

Various matters, including the ongoing situation in the country and issues of mutual interest, were also discussed at that time.

Jamaat’s Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Parwar, Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Media Department Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubayer, and Foreign Affairs Adviser Professor Dr. Mahmudul Hasan were also present at the meeting.
