In a surprising turn of events, Friday (April 4) saw not one, but two major celebrity weddings in Bangladesh. Alongside the marriage announcement of actor Shamim Hasan Sarkar, another much-talked-about couple tied the knot—music director Arafat Mohsin Nidhi and social media influencer Raba Khan.
The news of their marriage was confirmed by actress and model Sunerah Binte Kamal, who attended the wedding as a guest. Raba Khan also made it official on Instagram, sharing wedding photos with Nidhi and captioning them, “With a song of love, it all began for us.”
It is reported that the couple’s relationship started three years ago, quietly growing out of a collaboration on a song. That song, believed to be the 2022 track “Premika”, featured both Arafat and Raba. Many assume this is where their romance first blossomed.
After keeping their relationship private for years, the couple hosted a grand wedding ceremony on Friday evening at a venue in Dhaka, surrounded by close friends and family from both sides. Notable guests included popular celebrities like Mehazabien Chowdhury and Sabila Nur, who turned heads with their glamorous appearances.
However, as of the time of this report, neither Nidhi nor Raba has made a direct public statement about the marriage.
Arafat Mohsin Nidhi has recently made a name for himself in the Bangladeshi film industry, composing the background scores for “Borbaad”, released during Eid-ul-Adha, and for the film “Dagi”.
Raba Khan, on the other hand, gained widespread recognition among young audiences through her satirical content on social issues on her YouTube channel, The Jhakanaka Project. In 2020, she was featured in Forbes Asia's 30 Under 30 list in the Asia-Pacific region, recognized for her influence as a young entrepreneur.
Their story—rooted in creativity, collaboration, and a shared passion for expression—has now turned into a new chapter through marriage.
