According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), all seven deaths recorded in the 24 hours ending at 8:00am on Friday (October 23) have been classified as suspected measles-related fatalities.
With the latest casualties, the total number of suspected measles-related deaths has risen to 1,110, while the confirmed death toll remains unchanged at 104, as no new confirmed fatalities were reported during the reporting period.
Of the seven newly reported suspected deaths, Sylhet division recorded the highest number, with three fatalities.
Meanwhile, 1,110 new suspected measles cases were reported across the country in the past 24 hours, bringing the cumulative number of suspected cases to 218,870.
During the same period, 25 additional laboratory-confirmed measles cases were recorded, taking the total number of confirmed infections to 23,273.
According to DGHS data, a total of 194,633 patients with suspected measles have been hospitalised nationwide since March 15, 2026. Of them, 186,798 have recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
