Three Air Force personnel killed in pickup accident at Shahjalal airport

Three Bangladesh Air Force personnel were killed and four others injured after an Air Force pickup truck fell from a flyover at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport’s third terminal in Dhaka on Monday night.
The deceased were identified as Warrant Officer Mahmud, Corporal Piyas and LAC Zubaidul.
The accident occurred at around 10:20pm when the pickup truck lost control and fell from the flyover on the second floor of the third terminal. The vehicle was reportedly on routine duty.
The three Air Force personnel died at the scene.
Of the four injured, Corporal Sifat, Abu Saeed, Mahbub and LAC Ahad sustained serious injuries.
Director of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate Lt Col Sami-Ud-Doula Chowdhury confirmed the deaths to the media on Monday night.
“We have initially learnt that they died in an accident. Details will be provided later,” he said.
The authorities took the injured and the bodies of the deceased to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) for treatment and further procedures.
