A grand procession was held in Daulatdia of Goalanda Upazila, Rajbari, on Wednesday (August 26) to mark the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH).
The procession was organized by Daulatdia Anjuman-e-Qaderia Khanka Sharif and led by its Sajjadanasheen, Hazrat Syed Shah Yasub Ali Al Qadri (M.A.). It began at 9:11am from the premises of the Khanka Sharif and proceeded along the Dhaka-Khulna Highway to Daulatdia Model High School.
The procession later returned to the Khanka Sharif after parading through the designated route. Local devotees, religious people and people from various walks of life took part in the event. The procession created a festive atmosphere, with participants carrying green and red banners and flags and chanting religious slogans.
Md Muktar Bepari, president of Daulatdia Anjuman-e-Qaderia Khanka Sharif, said Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH) is a day of joy for the Muslim Ummah and that they observe the occasion every year with due respect.
“By learning from the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), we must build our society and country on the ideals of peace, brotherhood and love,” he said.
He further called upon everyone to follow the path shown by the Prophet (PBUH) to eliminate unrest, hatred and anarchy from society.
A festive atmosphere prevailed across Daulatdia marking the occasion. Milad, doa mahfil and distribution of tabarak were also held at the Khanka Sharif premises.
