A monthly revenue meeting was held in Jhalakathi, focusing on increasing revenue collection, ensuring proper management of government resources, and strengthening efforts to curb illegal sand mining.
The meeting was held at 11:00am on Sunday (August 23) at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's Office, with Deputy Commissioner Md. Momin Uddin in the chair.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Md. Touhidul Islam, Executive Engineer of the District Public Works Department Md. Aman Ullah Sarkar, Rajapur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Rifat Ara Mauri, Nalchity Upazila Nirbahi Officer Pratik Kumar Kundu, and officials from the relevant departments attended the meeting.
The meeting reviewed the district's overall revenue collection, government land and khas land management, and progress in land development tax collection. Measures to curb illegal sand mining, action against bulkheads used for sand extraction, and fines imposed during various drives were also discussed.
Officials concerned were instructed to take effective measures to further increase revenue collection, ensure proper management of government resources, and maintain transparency and accountability in land-related activities.
The meeting also emphasized strengthening coordination among relevant departments and field-level officials to make the district's revenue management more effective through regular supervision.
