The President’s Press Wing and relevant administrative sources confirmed the information on Friday (August 21).
According to the sources, the president-elect will place a wreath at the altar of the memorial on Saturday morning.
He will then stand in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect for the martyrs, recalling their immense contribution to the Liberation War.
At the time, a smartly turned-out contingent of the Army, Navy and Air Force will present a guard of honour to the president-elect, while a solemn tune will be played on the bugle.
After paying his respects, he will sign the visitors’ book kept on the memorial premises.
