Deaths from measles and measles-like symptoms crossed 600 as the country recorded seven more fatalities in the 24 hours ending at 8:00am today.
With the latest deaths, the toll rose to 601, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the total deaths, 90 were confirmed measles fatalities, while 511 people died with measles-like symptoms, the DGHS said.
During the 24-hour period, the country recorded 1,210 suspected measles cases, taking the total number of such cases to 74,572.
A total of 55 confirmed measles cases were reported during the period, raising the overall number of confirmed cases to 9,191.
Meanwhile, 1,052 patients were admitted to hospitals with measles or measles-like symptoms during the same period, the DGHS added.
