Central African Republic Armed Forces Chief of Staff, General Mamadou Zephirin paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Army Staff, Bangladesh Army, General Waker-Uz-Zaman at the Army Headquarters in Dhaka Cantonment on Wednesday (5 February).
They discussed various issues related to mutual interest, existing friendly relations between the two countries and future avenues of cooperation. The Chief of Army Staff expressed his gratitude to the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Central African Republic for the visit.
Prior to the meeting, General Z. Mamadou laid a wreath at Shikha Anirban. Later, the General received Guard of Honour at Senakunja and planted a sapling.
General Z. Mamadou arrived in Bangladesh on a five day official tour on Tuesday (4 February). During this tour he will visit several establishments of Bangladesh army including National Defence College, Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operation Training (BIPSOT) and Cox’s Bazar area. This visit is anticipated to enhance bilateral relations significantly between Bangladesh and the Central African Republic.
