Three people were killed and at least 10 others injured after a passenger bus overturned in Raiganj upazila of Sirajganj on Friday.

The accident occurred around 11am in the Nalka area when a Dhaka-bound passenger bus from northern Bangladesh lost control on the western approach road to the Jamuna Bridge.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jamuna Bridge West Police Station, Amirul Islam, confirmed the matter.

He said, “The driver lost control of the vehicle after it reached the Nalka area, causing the bus to crash into the highway divider and overturn. Three passengers died on the spot.”
