The husband of a Jahangirnagar University student has been shown arrested in a case over her murder at a rented house in Ashulia.
The body of Sharmin Jahan was recovered yesterday from her home in Savar’s Islamnagar area, adjacent to the campus.
Sharmin’s uncle filed a murder case against Fahim Al Hasan, a student of Dhaka College, with Ashulia Police Station last night.

He said Sharmin’s bloodstained body was taken to Enam Medical College Hospital in Savar by her husband Fahim and the house owner yesterday where doctors declared her dead.
Police detained Fahim as a suspect at the time, the OC said.
Later that night, Sharmin’s uncle filed the murder case and Fahim was shown arrested in the case.
Rubel Howlader also said Fahim will be sent to a Dhaka court today with a five-day remand prayer.
