Jamaat Ameer lies down on ‘Shetal Pati’ during election campaign

Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman lied down on a “sheetal pati,” a traditional hand-woven mat, during an election rally in Jhalakathi on Friday.

A local man gifted the mat to the Jamaat chief after he took to the stage at Jhalakathi Government High School.

Shortly after lying down, Shafiqur stood up to embrace and greet his party colleagues at the stage.

This was the third time Shafiqur visited the district since the fall of Awami League fascist regime on 5 August 2024.
